Welcome to the Speak Hawaiian Now home study course! Through this course you will be encouraged and supported to begin speaking the Hawaiian language...NOW.
In each lesson you will be taught a certain dialog and then encouraged to put the dialog into practice with us, here in this course. We will speak to you and ask you questions and you will speak right back to us!
We find that students of the Hawaiian language may put much time and effort into "studying" the language, but it is the lack of SPEAKING the language out loud that holds one back from actually learning how to converse.
So here in the Speak Hawaiian Now home study course, our main objective is to help you start speaking the Hawaiian language now. You can do it, we believe in you.

Great to connect with you here!!! We are Loke and Kaʻanalike and we are happy to be a part of your Hawaiian language journey.
As friends and learners of the Hawaiian language ourselves, we found that one of the biggest challenges to learning the Hawaiian language was actually getting the words out of our mouths and speaking it.
So when we first began learning we made it a point to speak as much as we could. Weʻd speak with each other and take every opportunity we could to speak with others.
But we understand that not everyone is able to find people to speak with, whereas others may simply want to practice over and over. Repetition is the key to retention! Whatever your goal, we are here to help you Speak Hawaiian Now!
We created this site with different learning styles in mind. In the course you get dialogue in audio, video and PDF form. You will listen and watch as Loke and Kaʻanalike go through the dialogue with each other and then youʻll be the one doing the dialogue with them. You can pause rewind and go through it as many times as you need. As a Speak Hawaiian Now community member, you will also be invited to attend live classes that will be held online so you can practice all that you have learned.
Live Dialogue
In every course, you will hear a live dialogue between Ka'analike and Loke. Then you will be prompted to do the dialogue with them! You will be given the words to learn and you can practice as much as you need. You'll be prompted to speak while reading and then without reading. And the best part is you'll be able to take it all at your own pace.
Audio, Video, PDF's
You will be able to follow along with audio, video and PDF's. The words you are learning will be clearly seen on the screen so you have no doubt what to say and how to say it. PDF's of all the slides used in every lesson are included so you will be able to save the PDF's of all the conversations so you can practice, practice, practice.
Ongoing Lessons & Live Classes
Begin with your first 5 lessons and we will continue to add new conversations to the course curriculum as well as other resources. Practice along till you can understand the words that are being said, till you can answer the questions and even ask all the questions. You will also be invited to live classes to go over all your course conversations.

It's NOT about how much you learn, it's about how much you practice. You can learn for years, but if you don't put what you learn into use...what you don't use, you loose.
However, when you put your language into practice every day, your fluency will increase and before you know it, you'll be speaking Hawaiian!
